On Friday, exactly 72 years after the liberation of the Auschwitz death camp, dozens of survivors paid homage to those killed at what is today a memorial site and museum. The Auschwitz survivors wore striped scarves as they walked beneath the infamous, harrowing gate "Arbeit Macht Frei" (Work Will Set You Free) until they reached the execution wall, where they lit candles, placed flowers and prayed.
