Pro-lifers gather in D.C. to march against abortion

Anti-abortion activists gathered in Washington on Friday for the 44th March for Life, buoyed by President Donald Trump's pledge to restrict the procedure and Vice President Mike Pence's plan to address the marchers. The theme and tone of the rally is very much at odds with the global Women's March, which took place less than a week earlier, when millions of people protested on Saturday to defend women's reproductive rights, among other civil rights, under the new administration. President Donald Trump has promised to sign a slew of anti-abortion measures that include cutting funding for Planned Parenthood and nominating a Supreme Court Justice who could overturn Roe vs. Wade-- a landmark decision that legalized abortion.
