A homeless shelter in Washington, D.C. has become the recipient of a swing set from the South Lawn of the White House.

A homeless shelter in Washington, D.C. has become the recipient of a swing set from the South Lawn of the White House, reports CNN.
On Monday, President Obama and Michelle Obama donated the playset that had been used by their daughters to the Jobs Have Priority Naylor Road Family Shelter, notes the Washington Post.
In fact, the brown and green structure, which the Obamas purchased in 2009, had been a surprise for the girls when they were 7 and 10.
According to CBS News, the Trump family, whose son is 10, had been offered to keep the set but "passed on the offer."
So the Obamas instead appeared in person at the shelter to show the playset, named 'Malia and Sasha's Castle,' to the kids, notes USA Today.
The donation is part of the first family’s process of moving out of the White House.
