The following sentences reprint a diary of the one that they photographed in Nagano.

Then, TBS (a Japanese TV station) came to report the situation.
A Tibet Free supporter asked the TV reporter, saying,
“Is it because of the agreement of exchange of reporters between Japan and China that you don’t want to turn your camera to us?”.

The reporter answered in disgust, “What do you mean? Keep shouting as much as you like!” and walked away.

In every corner of Nagano City, we saw many groups of people shouting “Free Tibet!” Then the Chinese poured down to the group levelling insults upon them.

In a crossing we came across with a group of Chinese.
Suddenly, M was smashed in the face by a Chinese elderly woman.
I took hold of her and shouted to a policeman standing in front of us.
The police just ignored it.

The Chinese woman bit my hand so harsh that it started bleeding.
The policeman just looked on and did nothing.

Then the Chinese woman hit me in the face. The Free Tibet supporters around me shouted,
“Hey Police! That’s an offence in the act. Arrest her!”
The police pretended not having seen anything.

Had I not been in our protesting activities, I would have become out of control and jumped on the Chinese, but we just controlled ourselves according to our rule of nonviolence.

A Chinese knocked off the sign, which M prepared using a full day.
Before M tried to pick it up, the Chinese tramped it.
“What do you think you are doing? Stop him.” we shouted to a policeman standing just a few steps away, in vain.

Here and there, in every corner of town, we saw protesting activities.
The town was filled with fights and furores. We saw some ambulances, too.
We just continued our protesting activities.
