Esteban Santiago, the 26-year-old Iraq veteran, who is suspected of carrying out a shooting at a Florida airport is to appear in court on Monday. If convicted, Santiago could face the death penalty on charges of killing with a firearm and violence at an international airport. While executions have been on hold in Florida since the Supreme Court dismantled the death penalty a year ago, the law was re-written in October. The attack killed five people and left six others wounded, three of which were in intensive care and the other three which were in stable condition.
