WASHINGTON — A Congressman’s son was grounded by his dad this week for teaching House Speaker Paul Ryan how to dab.

Cal Marshall, 17, is the son of Roger Marshall, the Republican representative for the First District of Kansas.

Young Cal caused a bit of confusion at his dad’s swearing-in photo call on Tuesday, when Ryan asked if he was leaning into his elbow to sneeze. But no, like countless sports stars, performers and 12-year-old kids over the past two years or so, Cal was dropping a dab on ’em folks, the New York Times reported.

Afterward, Cal wrote on Twitter that he was surprised by the media coverage of his antics. But the House Speaker failed to see the funny side, posting on Twitter that he was still clueless about dabbing.

In the end, Ryan got the last laugh. Congressman Marshall posted on Twitter that Cal was now grounded, which should give the teenager time to work on some new dance moves.
