"Blue Moon Rising" by Simon R. Green was first published in 1991. It is a fantasy novel. It happens to be the first book in the series of four books in the Forest Kingdom Series.
The book got rejected by several publishers, but when it got published, it became Green's first bestseller. The author has combined dramatic storytelling with a lot of wry humour and light relief.
