Words and stones is a short English poem about words which we never speak. Most often we keep many conflicts and feelings inside us, without even talking about it. The suppression of feelings leads to different mental and physical problems. Stress and depression are the famous ones.
In most relations, though be it between father and son,husband and wife or partners etc. The most important words just never happen to reach to our tongue. We often feel great regret to say what we had in heart ,when that person is no longer with us. And it should not be necessarily kind and loving words. I think it is very healthy to come out with your anger and contempt. Keeping anger, contempt and doubt inside is like a ticking bomb. It will explode and boy when it did explode it is just catastrophic.
The other side of the problem is that nobody is ready to really hear what we have to say. Everybody pretends to listen but they don’t really care, especially when you are talking to them and they are constantly busy with their mobile phones or looking at the T.V.
Words and stones
Come, talk to me
I will listen
Like a mother listens
To the first word of her children
Or when they talk in pain
Or extreme enjoyment
When they almost can´t talk.
You haven’t been heard
For years
Those who pretended
To listen to you
Your words
Just flew over their heads
And you could see them
Their blank faces and empty eyes.
Those words
Have became stones inside you
Let´s crack them.
