An overall growth of corrosion at the interface of aluminum 2024 and CFRP is given to show how the corrosion growth occurs and how it begins to manifest itself in the initial stages of degradation. The methodology of detection of corrosion products using microwave non-destructive testing in the X-band microwave frequency will be discussed.
