It’s been a busy few days of football in Japan, as Real Madrid just won the FIFA Club World Cup.

So what happened?
The video took a while to get going, but the basic premise was for Messi and Suarez to try to shoot footballs at flying drones.

The drones were flown by a local experts.

In the build-up, Messi got to wear a virtual reality headset which allowed him to see from the drone’s viewpoint.

Get to the good stuff
In the end, the Barcelona strike partners had sixty seconds to shoot down drones.

Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez form two-thirds of one of the deadliest attacking tridents there has ever been but their skills were put to the test in a unique challenge organised by Japanese TV.

As you can see in the video below (skip to 3:30), the Barcelona stars were tasked with trying to shoot down a small drone from roughly 18 yards.

And they didn't find it as easy as you might have expected.

With just 60 seconds to hit the nippy machine, both Suarez and Messi struggled to find their shooting boots.

The drone's pilot was stood on the other side of goal and even though he was protected by a net, still had to avoid be distracted by the strikes being directed towards him.

It was harder than it looked.
