A Russian military aircraft carrying 39 people came crashing down in northeast Siberia on Monday, according to Russian news agencies. Twenty three people were airlifted to the hospital and 16 remain in critical condition, according to reports. TASS news agency said that the aircraft made an emergency landing in the town of Tiksi, about 19 miles from the planned landing location. The cause of crash is not yet known but investigators have been flown to the crash site.
