Self-proclaimed number one critic Kamaal R. Khan has been raving about Karan Johar's upcoming film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil eversince the teaser of the film got unveiled a few days ago and it seems that he has received a whopping sum of Rs. 25 lakh from Karan Johar to praise the movie.
Ajay Devgn's Shivaay is clashing with ADHM this Diwali and KRK has been tweeting against it since quite some time and he even went on to say that the movie would be as big a debacle as Ajay's Himmatwala.
Kumar Mangat Pathak, producer and Ajay Devgn's business associate recently recorded a telephonic conversation with Khan, in which he has claimed that KJo has paid him a hefty sum to promote his movie. When Mangat asked him why he is badmouthing Shivaay, the Deshdrohi actor told him that it's because Ajay didn't respond to him when he sent him a message on his birthday and thus it proves that he doesn't require KRK's help
Devgn is mighty upset with this and he not only uploaded the conversation on his YouTube channel but also released a press release regarding the same.
His statement reads:
I have been a part of the Indian film industry for the past 25 years and have been associated with over 100 films. My father was a professional action director and I have an emotional connection with this industry.
It therefore pains me to see that people like Kamaal R Khan are holding the film industry to ransom by spreading negativity about films to extort money from producers.
It is very sad that people from our own industry are supporting such elements and spoiling the ethos of the film industry.
I would strongly demand that this be thoroughly investigated by competent authorities to clarify if Karan Johar was indeed involved in this.
In his defence KRK tweeted to Ajay writing, "Sir @ajaydevgn 2-4 Dafaa Aaraam Se Suniye Isko Thande Dimag se, Aur Samajhye Ki Maine Kaya Kaha. Lol! Exposed."
"And sir @ajaydevgn now you know tat KRK is a brand so if even you will pay me 25 Lakhs so I will favour you for sure Coz I don't do it free," he further added.
