Yael Cherniavsky
Yael Cherniavsky is an Israeli soprano singer, who had been hired as an assistant for the famous Italian conductor Claudio Abbado.
The 27-year-old musician started her musical path with Ankor Choir in Jerusalem and has moved on to study professional singing and conducting in Israel and abroad. Her conducting DVD found its way to Abbado's hands and he agreed to meet with her and invited her to work with him in Italy.
According to an interview by Haggai Hitron, writer of Ha'aretz newspaper, she immediately left for Bologna and was surprised to see she was his only assistant.
