Pig Destroyer - Prowler in the Yard review

2016-12-08 3

This album review is long overdue. My last album review (The Nightcomers by Holocaust) was a year ago. It was a combination of laziness, anxiety, other things getting in the way and not knowing exactly how that I want to go about writing this review that led to it taking so long to produce, but I cannot really make any excuse. I fucked up. Sorry about that. I will do my damnedest to avoid taking so long between reviews in the future.

Anyway, this is my video review of Pig Destroyer's seminal work Prowler in the Yard. It is not a typical review, though. Everyone already knows that this is a grindcore masterpiece. There should be no need for me to sit here and tell you about how great this album is. All of you already know.

Instead, this is a video that compares two versions of the same album. This compares the original 2001 version of the album to the 2015 remixed and remastered version. I will tell you what the difference is between the two version and whether this is a good remaster job or not.

There is one thing that I did not mention in this video. The drums on the remaster sound a lot better and hit harder than they did in the original, especially bass drums. Those are greatly improved.

Thanks for watching. I hope you enjoyed the video, and I hope my next one does not take anywhere near as long to produce as this one did. Again, I am sorry about that.
