The University of Oregon has reportedly hired Willie Taggart as their next head coach. Taggart led the University of South Florida to a 10-2 record this season. Oregon fired former head coach Mark Helfrich last week after a disappointing losing season, the first losing season the university has seen since 2004. Taggart, a former quarterback at Western Kentucky University, was the head coach at WKU from 2010-2012 before taking over USF for four seasons. During his time at USF, the team improved every year, going from 2-10 to 10-2 in three years. Under Taggart's coaching, USF produced two 1,000 yard rushers in 2016 as part of one of the best running attacks in the country.
