North Dakota resident Lauren Ashley Otradovec got a surprise on the morning of Tuesday, December 6, when she opened the door of her Glenburn home and found a wall of snow with the door’s markings, including the house number, printed onto it.
After sharing a photo of the imprint to Facebook, Otradovec shared video showing another person breaking through the wall of snow and into blizzard conditions outside.
A cold wave of air began to spread across the US Midwest early that week and was expected to continue towards the Northeast into the weekend, according to Accuweather. Temperatures in Glenburn dropped as low as 3.2 degrees Fahrenheit on December 6, according to weather data aggregated by Wolfram Alpha, and the nearby city of Minot saw heavy snowfall.
