TAIPEI, TAIWAN — A television journalist in Taipei was the victim of a pervert trying to take a picture up her skirt, but using the power of the media, she was able to make him pay with a punishment that fit the crime.
Glori Liu, 32, was casually browsing for a refreshing drink in a FamilyMart store last week. Across the aisle, store manager Cheng Hsi-chan, 37, happened to notice her, and some unsavory thoughts started brewing. He decided to act on them, quietly creeping up behind Liu, snapping some shots from under her skirt.
He wasn’t as smooth as he needed to be though, and accidently brushed against her thigh, causing her to realize she was being violated.
Luckily for her, she said: “He didn't get the shot. He failed but he touched my leg.”
Meanwhile, Cheng said, “Actually I don't have any excuses for this. I can only say that different people have different ways of dealing with pressure."
Liu decided the best way to expose Cheng was to do a news story telling the world of his unwholesome deed. He was fired from FamilyMart soon after.
