GRAPEVINE, TEXAS — A young couple in Frisco are fighting for justice after a sleazy car salesmen undermined their privacy in the creepiest of ways.
In January 2015, Pastor Tim Gatreaux and his wife, Claire, walked into a Texas Toyota dealership looking to pick up a Prius. With the deal almost done, the salesman assisting them asked to borrow Tim’s phone so he could show his manager a pre-approved financing document saved on an app.
Little did the couple realize, the salesman then snuck away to take a quick second to scroll through the photos on the pastor’s phone. When he stumbled upon a few sexy nude photos of the pastor’s wife getting in and out the bathtub, he secretly emailed them out to a swinger’s website.
The dirtbag then returned the phone, and sent the couple to the dealership’s finance manager to finalize the paperwork. But when Pastor Tim went into his phone to pull up a document, an old photo of his wife popped up. When he checked his inbox, the email of his wife’s naked pics had been deleted, but a record of the email was saved in another app on his phone. The email in question was sent to an address that had a connection to a swingers website.
The salesman, Matthew Luke Thomas, 44, was arrested on charges of computer security breach in November 2015. He will appear in court later this month. Meanwhile, the Gatreauxs are suing Thomas, Texas Toyota of Grapevine and Toyota Motor North America for several grievances including breach of contract, intrusion, negligence and public disclosure of private facts.
