"Schindler's List" by Thomas Keneally was first published in 1982 as "Schindler's Ark." The book won the Booker Prize. It was also the winner of the Los Angeles Times Book Prize for Fiction in 1983.
It was adapted into a highly successful English movie, directed by Steven Spielberg.
