National Day of Romania;
National Day of Romania was between 1866-1947 on May 10, then between 1948-1989, August 23. By law no. 10 of July 31, 1990, promulgated by President Ion Iliescu and published in the Official Gazette no. 95 of 1 August 1990 on 1 December was adopted as a national day and a public holiday in Romania. This provision was resumed Constitution of 1991, Article 12, paragraph 2.
