Volkswagen is shifting its focus in technology in hopes that the company will bounce back from its crisis following the diesel emissions cheating scandal. The company plans "to fundamentally change Volkswagen," Herbert Diess, the head of the Volkswagen core brand said. The carmaker plans to focus more battery-powered cars, autonomous vehicles, and an increase in sales of SUVs in the U.S. Diess said that the company expects to sell a million electric vehicles a year by 2025, at a group headquarters meeting in Wolfsburg, Germany.
