Since the earth was created there have been thought to have been earthquakes but as we head into the second half of 2011 it is starting to become one of the most active years of seismic activity that we have endured in the past 12 years. Already we have had a 6.3 quake that killed 181 people in Christchurch on the 22nd of February and left thousands of people homeless.
