The powered exoskeleton goes back to the late 1950s and 60s. Some historians believe they go back even earlier. Also sometimes called the exosuit, mech suit, superman suit, powersuit, supersuit, man-amplifier, strength suit (or the motive part of powered armor), the powered exoskeleton has been made popular by blockbuster movie hits such as Iron Man, Marvels The Avengers, Elysium, Starship Troopers, and The Dark Knight Returns (animated). In the near future, we will see powered exoskeletons being utilized more and more in the construction industry, in hospitals, in rescue operations, and in rehabilitation clinics/ programs.\r
