Tau Tau 1981 private German Prog Symphonic
Tau - first, a nice name for a prog band second, they have an excellent logo - is a very obscure late '70s early 80's symphonic prog band from Germany with one album released in 1981 selftitled. I really like this album, ok is nothing groundbreaking here, but is more then pleasent to my ears, in some parts is even excellent like on Todesfuge, absolutly awesome tune. Symphonic prog is all about here, with nice mellotron , decent vocal parts sung in german , some nice arrangements overall I might say, very similar with Neuschwanstein or Grobschnitt or even Genesis, specially in keyboards department. Another great track is the instrumental Eines Morgens im April, some very nice refresing keyboards here I really like a lot this one, the rest while are decent pieces, are nothing really impressive but well performed in the end. Even they've lost along the prog highway, I think this album is an enjoyble ride for fans of symphonic prog of early '80s........
