The Chicago Cubs shrugged off the “Curse of the Billy Goat” and ended a 108-year title drought to win the World Series on November 2, beating the Cleveland Indians 8-7 at Progressive Field. While fans erupted in celebration throughout Chicago, long-time fan Jimmy Davidson broke down in tears as he watched from San Bernardino County, California.

Jimmy’s friend, Douglas Argumedo, shot this video as the Cubs claimed victory. “He needed this to brighten up the worst year of his life,” Argumedo said. “This win made it all better in the end.” Credit: YouTube/Douglas Argumedo
