A police “control operation” took place at a migrant camp in the Stalingrad neighborhood of north Paris on October 31. Between 2,000 and 3,000 migrants have been sleeping rough in the area, a number that has spiked sharply since the closure of the Jungle camp in Calais.
Police sources told French media that the operation was part of a process to clear and accommodate the migrants in the area. President Francois Hollande said at the weekend that the area would be cleared. Credit: YouTube/Clement Lanot
