ADNAN OKTAR: In the Hereafter; people die and rise in the Hereafter, which should be a traumatic experience, right? They say "Who has raised us from our resting place?" In other words, they say, "Why have we rest in there?" They are clueless. This is one of the phases. For example, there is a summoner standing upon some sort of obelisk; he summons people from upon there and they start to rush towards that direction. This is not unlike the curiosity of the people of the ignorance era; they rush towards the summoner and once they arrive, they realize that they have died. But it is different for the believers as God transports them via a vehicle. God says in the Quran, "with their light streaming out in front of them, and on their right,"as far as I know, referring to a sort of vehicle. God says, "Every self will come together with a driver and a witness." The believers are accompanied by them on their way to the Hereafter. We will find a reasonable system when we go there. In other words, we will not find it astonishing. It will be as if our worldly lives continue, albeit in a clearer, more vivid way.
Moreover, Almighty God takes the lives of old men and women while they live. They die while they are still alive; for example, they speak delightfully, saying things like "I will soon go to the Balkans, my commander is asking for me." They have already lost their conscience, in a way, they are dead, but they still seem alive. For example, when you make jokes, they respond in a cheerful way. But it is clearly understood from their tones that they are dead. In other words, it is quite apparent that their souls are taken away. This is a convenience granted to them by Almighty God, as God takes their souls while they still live. And what is more is that the relatives of such people are unaware of the fact that they are dead, and feel sorry when their bodies die as well, whereas at that stage, they are already dead. In other words, for a while, God let them continue their lives as dead among their relatives, so that they do not get upset. Many elders are actually dead but people are not aware of it. For example, when the son of an elder visits him, he says to him "Welcome, Mr. President." He is obviously dead. He talks to his son as if he is the president, in other words, the dementia has set in, and he is virtually dead. He looks seemingly alive, but in fact he has already given his life with ease, without feeling any discomfort or pain. When such people are actually dying, they might seem to struggle and sometimes, they might even scream. However, in reality, as they are unconscious, they do not actually feel any pain. Even though the person on his death bed seems to struggle and scream, he does not actually feel it as his senses have been taken away. Such behavior of the people on their deathbeds does not mean that they are actually feeling any pain. In the verse of the Quran, Almighty God say
