Unfortunately, I hardly found any biographical data about this bandleader, active in New York in the mid-30s. The orchestra probably consisted of Phil Capricotta, t; Russ Morgan, tb; Sid Trucker, cl-as; Bruce Yantis, vn; Terry Shand, p; George Van Eps, g; Larry Hall, sb and Eddie Schaff, d. The vocalist on this lovely 1935 recording was Lee Johnson. I am unaware if this vocalist is related to the homonymous songwriter.
