October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month… did you know that 1 in 8 women living in the U.S. will be diagnosed with breast cancer during their lifetime?
Singer/songwriter, children’s books illustrator, and breast cancer survivor, Raven Quinn is an amazing woman who was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 31. With no history in her family, her diagnosis left her in utter shock and disbelief. “Cancer is a physical, mental, and spiritual battle,” said Quinn.
When diagnosed, Raven sought out a place where she felt comfortable to fight her battle; that place was Southern California based Breastlink, a leader in breast health needs. “I don’t feel like I’m going to a medical facility. I feel like I’m going home.”
Now 32, Raven Quinn is using her music to give back. Breastlink created such a positive experience for Raven that she decided to donate half of the proceeds from her album “The Acoustic EP” to Breastlink and the Cancer Research Collaboration, a non-profit founded by Breastlink with the goal to end cancer once and for all!
