Young mother of two, Viktoria, has been battling serious illness for three years. At first, the doctors had difficulty establishing what the problem was and she received treatment for various misdiagnosed diseases. Finally, doctors got to the bottom of her health issues.
Viktoria has cirrhosis and needs a liver transplant. Having such a serious health problem so early in life was attributed to her genetic predisposition and the fact that at the age of five she had jaundice. Now, the long-term consequences of that childhood ailment have caught up with Viktoria. She was put on the organ transplant waiting list, but each time she is called for surgery, it turns out the organ isn’t suitable for her. However, she remains hopeful as she needs to recover not just for her own sake but also for her family.
