Rudy Giuliani Says Election Could Be Rigged With Dead People’s Votes

In an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper on Sunday, former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani said that he believes the presidential election could be rigged, in part, because “dead people generally vote for Democrats rather than Republicans.”

Rudy Giuliani has spoken out about the possibility of Democrats rigging the presidential election.
On Sunday, the former New York City mayor appeared in an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper who asked him about Donald Trump’s claims that the election outcome might be manipulated.
Giuliani responded, in part, “When he talks about a rigged election, he’s not talking about the fact that it’s gonna be rigged at the polls. What he’s talking about is that 80 to 85 percent of the media is against him.”
However, when Tapper brought up Trump advocating for the presence of election monitors, Giuliani stated, “There are a few places where they’ve been notorious for stealing votes--Pennsylvania, Chicago...there have been places where a lot of cheating has gone on over the years...”
He then went on to say, “I'm sorry, dead people generally vote for Democrats rather than Republicans….You want me to tell me that I think the election in Philadelphia and Chicago is going to be fair? I would have to be a moron to say that.”
Despite Giuliani’s comments, the Republican ticket’s vice presidential candidate, Mike Pence, stated on Sunday’s 'Meet the Press' that “as Donald Trump said in that first debate, and I will say to you today, we will accept the will of the American people.”
House Speaker Paul Ryan’s office had also previously issued a statement, saying, “Our democracy relies on confidence in election results, and the speaker is fully confident the states will carry out this election with integrity.”
