Rudy Giuliani, former New York City mayor and Trump super surrogate, has apologized for saying that Hillary Clinton wasn’t in the city after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, even though she was right next to him the next day. Giuliani, who was New York mayor in 2001, told the Associated Press. There is no evidence Clinton claimed she was in New York City during the attacks. It wasn't until Sept. 12 that Clinton was able to get to Lower Manhattan, where she visited the site of the devastation with a number of lawmakers including Giuliani.
