An awesome video has emerged of a young boy with Down syndrome growing a gigantic pumpkin.

The footage shows Ben, 14, who lives in a Christian community called the Bruderhof in Kent, UK and his mentor Mario preparing compost and a green house to grow a giant pumpkin.

After three months, in August, the pumpkin would need 600 gallons of water to keep growing.

Last week, on Tuesday, Ben and his friends took the 1248 pound squash to London for a competition and won the first prize.

“Even the judges were surprised,” Ben said.
