"Now, tell me about your experience in supervising... wait, what?"
[] As one of those people (JAX), I noped the fuck out and headed to Mobile AL.

You're right. We definitely care.
[] Yes, we all know this, but that doesnt make a funny reddit anecdote.
[] What not Blade Hobbler? Blade Shuffler? Blade Straggler?
[] We used to play shows with a babes cleverly named "TBD" or "To Be Determined" so every poster publicizing a show that weekend always said the bands playing and on the bottom it always said "other bands- tbd" these guys ended up being on every flyer for every show! Fantastic idea!
[] Yale even has a program for older students named after Eli Whitney.
[] I work fast food and I can't tell you how many times people order a special type of burger only to ask me to take off what makes it special. And half the time it's more expensive than the normal burger.

[] "How much is my computer going to weigh after you transfer my data?"
[] Stomped my friends cheese grater while performing a wrestling move onto it from the dining room table, this was like 2 months back
[] I also don't buy this argument that big things can't change. I would argue that the difference isn't size, it's the role that money plays in politics in the US & EU.

FYI Iceland is not part of the EU. This is what gave them the freedom to let their banks fail in 2009 while the US and EU were negotiating bailouts. Icelandic banks had taken tons of deposits and investments from foreign people/banks/companies, and a lot of it was wiped out entirely when the banks went into liquidation. Google Icesave for more on the diplomatic repercussions between the EU and Iceland following how they handled the crisis.

[] I haven't heard of it until today and don't really care. I tried to find some news on it but all I found were videos saying it's a satanic demon created by the Illuminati and I gave up on humanity again for the day and went back to watching documentaries.
[] I used to get this all the time at my convenience store. It used to piss me off until I realized that grocery stores in my area all had the habit of putting those huge 2/1$ signs everywhere, but actually still sell the items 50¢ each.

When you think about it it's pretty efficient cheap marketing; make people buy two and still make the same profit.
[] Well, yes, it CAN, but it won't. Hurricanes lose power when going over land.

[] Chicken pasta is not even Italian
[] Yes, years. This isn't some proof of concept bullshit, it exists, they've been trialing it in Poland.

[] Back in my retail days we used to have BOGO (buy one get one free) sales about once a month.
WITHOUT FAIL we would get people asking the following questions (and our answers):

"So this item is buy one get one free? So if I only want ONE that means I get it for half Price, right?"

No, it doesn't work like that

"So you just doubled the price of these items so you could have this sale, didn't you"

No, we have an overstock and are trying to sell them off to make room for new products

"BOGO? Is that some brand name?"

......

"If these are buy one, get one...how much do I have to pay if I want three?"

Full price for two, nothing for the other one.

(This last one usually resulted in complaints we were 'scaming' them by making them pay full price for the third....then 20 mins trying to explain they could get TWO for free after paying for two..... they never got the concept, usually)
