[]Where in Asia do you live? How did y'all make that jump over there, and what do you and your SO do for a living. Everything you've said really resonates with me, especially after being relatively broke a few years ago and now making more money than my father ever did. The problem, like you explained, is that I have NO time off. It's led to unhealthy auctions and me to be more unhappy than ever before.
Since I'm not going to be a VP of a tech company out something, the only option really does seem to be to move out of the country-- somewhere that values time off, traveling, and working to live, not living to work. The US is so underdeveloped when it comes to things like healthcare and time off. No matter how optimistic I may be about the US' future, I can't imagine it ever getting EVEN CLOSE to Europe levels of work/life balance. It's sad because I love a lot of things about America and all my family and friends are here, but it just doesn't seem like the life I want to live.
That being said, I'd love to hear y'alls story if you have the time.
