South African police fire rubber bullets at students protesting tuition costs at Rhodes University

Tensions were running high at South Africa’s Rhodes University on Wednesday (September 28) as police and students scuffled during a demonstration over tuition fees. Police arrested 11 students at the event and several protesters were taken to hospital with injuries. Students have subsequently accused the police of brutality after this video was shared on social media.
