The thrills of wingsuit flying - without leaving your armchair

2016-09-25 2

You may not be mentally or physically ready for wingsuit flying.

But drone cameras, helmet cameras, unipod and tripod cameras will still thrill you with the exhilaration only wingsuit fliers feel themselves.

With a 2,500-metre vertical drop, Dashanbao in southwest China’s Yunnan Province, is the tallest BASE-jump point in the whole of Asia. The initials of BASE stand for building, antenna, span and earth, the four ‘jumping off’ objects for wingsuit fliers.

Most of the mid-air shots are contributions from the 50 elite wingsuit fliers who have gathered in Dashanbao over the past week for the “Wings for Love World Cup 2016”. The finals of this cup event are slated for Sunday through Tuesday.
