Russia unveiled the three contenders to become the official mascot for the upcoming World Cup, which the country will host in 2018.
An image of a cat, a tiger and a wolf were projected onto the walls of Moscow State University on Friday (September 23), as part of the annual Circle of Light show.
After the presentation, an online vote was launched, allowing Russian soccer fans to decide on which character to choose.
The most popular character will be declared live on television on October 21.
The 2018 World Cup will be held between June 14 and July 15 at 12 different stadiums in 11 cities. Venues include two in Moscow, and one each in St. Petersburg, Samara, Saransk, Rostov-on-Don, Sochi, Kazan, Kaliningrad, Volgograd, Nizhny Novgorod and Yekaterinburg.
