With Garrett Gilbert out this weekend due to an injured his knee, the SMU Mustangs redshirt freshman Neal Burcham will make his first career start as the 5-5 Mustangs look to reach bowl eligibility by winning one of their final two games verus the Houston Cougars this Friday.
