"Blood Meridian" by Cormac McCarthy was first published in 1985. It is also titled "The Evening Redness in the West."
It is an epic Western, or anti-Western novel. It is the author's fifth published book. The major part of the story is about a teenager called "the kid" and his experiences with the Glanton gang.
