Notes: Atlanta moves to 1-1 on their year following the 35-28 road victory to the Oakland Raiders as a +4 point underdog. The total finished at over 47 ½ points. It was a fine offensive performance by the Falcons who posted 522 offensive yards. Matt Ryan hit on 26 of 35 passes for 396 yards with three touchdowns and a pick. He engineered three touchdowns in six red zone drives. The running game produced 139 yards. On defense they did allow the Raiders 454 yards with 299 yards passing and three touchdown throws by quarterback Derek Carr.

New Orleans fell to 0-2 with the 16-13 road defeat to the New York Giants as a +3 ½ point underdog. The game total went under 54 points. Both losses have been by three points or less. The Saints offense delivered only 288 yards with 41 on the ground on 13 carries. Drew Brees was 29 of 44 passing for 263 yards with a touchdown. After tying the game at 13-13 with under three minutes remaining the Saints allowed the Giants to move within field goal positing with the winning 23 yard kick coming as time expired. New Orleans defense was good in the red zone by overall allowed 417 yards to the Giants offense with 368 yards passing to Eli Manning.
