During a Wednesday appearance on ABC’s Good Morning America, Ivanka Trump aired her grievances about Hillary Clinton’s record on child care policy.
She said, “…respectfully, Hillary Clinton has been around for decades and there's no policy benefiting either mothers or fathers in terms of paid leave."
When reminded that Clinton has announced such a plan, Trump again referenced the candidate’s long career as a politician, noting, “…she could have instituted some of those policies in that role and has not done so."
Her criticisms come one day after her father, Donald Trump, announced his intention to assure new mothers receive 6 weeks of paid leave, reports the Washington Post.
Notably, Clinton is promoting an initiative for 12 weeks of paid family leave that is broader in scope than the plan proposed by Trump.
