Dallas was unable to position for a game winning field goal attempt late as they ran out of time. The Cowboys produced 328 offensive yards. Dak Prescott in his first NFL start hit on 25 of 45 passes for 227 yards. The run game only produced 101 yards on 30 carries. On defense the Cowboys allowed Eli Manning to pass for 207 yards and three touchdowns plus engineer touchdown in all three of their red zone drives.
Washington is 0-1 following the 38-16 home defeat to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday night as a +2 ½ point underdog. The game total went over 49 points. After going up 6-0 in the first quarter the Redskins surrendered the next 24 points. Their defense was lit up for 435 yards. They allowed Ben Roethlisberger to pass for 300 yards and three touchdowns and the Steelers to rush for 147 yards on 30 carries. The Redskins run game sputtered. Kirk Cousins went 30 of 43 for 329 yards and two pick with 1 of 4 red zone drives converting into touchdowns.
