49ers CEO Jed York has announced that his team will make a $1 million donation to the cause of improving racial and economic inequality and fostering communication and collaboration between law enforcement and the communities they serve in the Bay Area. The commitment to donate the money was preceded by Kaepernick saying he would donate the first $1 million of his $11.9-million base salary this season to groups that deal with those issues.
