Notes: Minnesota Vikings were champions of the NFC North a season ago and faced the Seattle Seahawks at home in a wildcard game. They were eliminated as the team missed a chip shot field goal very late in the game that resulted in a 10-9 home defeat as a +4 point underdog. The Viking suffered a major injury toward the end of preseason as starting quarterback Teddy Bridgewater is lost for the season with a knee injury. The team traded for Sam Bradford and he is the favorite to start under center as Shaun Hill will be relegated to backup. Bradford in 2015 with Philadelphia completed 65% of his throws for 3725 yards with 19 touchdowns and 14 picks. Adrian Peterson returns under center and Matt Asiata will get a few carries. Kyle Rudolph the Vikings tight end was a key player in the passing game. Minnesota was the 13th ranked defense in the NFL as the team allowed 344 yards per game.

Tennessee could not make the playoffs in 2015. Second year man Marcus Mariota returns for his second year under center. In his rookie campaign Mariota completed 62% of his throws for 2818 yards with 19 touchdowns and 10 picks. He ran for 252 yards and 2 touchdowns with 7.4 yards per carry average. Various injuries forced Mariota to miss four games. In the backfield for the Titans are DeMarco Murray and Derrick Henry. The targets in the passing game include Andre Johnson and Harry Douglas. The Titans were the 30th ranked offense in the NFL a year ago as the team averaged 311 yards per game and converted on 31.8% on third down.
