US President Barack Obama has canceled a meeting in Laos with Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte, who had earlier called him a “son of a whore”.
Apparently addressing Mr. Obama, he added: “You must be respectful. Do not just throw questions.” Then, using a curse in Tagalog that can be translated as “son of a bitch,” he added, “I will swear at you in that forum.”
He said Mr Obama must not disrespect him. “We will be wallowing in the mud like pigs if you do that to me,” he said.
