Daily Beast reporter Olivia Nuzzi is claiming that Mike Krawitz, a GOP candidate in the West Deptford township committee race, sent her obscene messages.

A former Republican candidate in a local New Jersey election is being accused of sending obscene comments to a reporter via social media, notes WPVI.
Olivia Nuzzi with The Daily Beast posted a story on Tuesday alleging that Mike Krawitz, who was at the time running for the West Deptford township committee, sent three comments in response to her recent Facebook post about a colleague’s article on Donald Trump’s ex-wife Marla Maples.
She quotes his messages as follows: “Bill. Clinton. Cheated. On. Hillary. :). With. Multiple. Women.”“F__k. You. Olivia, I. Hope. Somebody. Rapes. You. Today. :)”“Hope. You. Get. Raped. By. A. Syrian. Refugee. :)”
On September 5, Nuzzi tweeted screenshots of those comments, stating “This man who wants me to be raped today was a Republican candidate for office in NJ.”
When Krawitz was initially asked about her accusations, he admitted to being a long-time Trump supporter but denied sending the messages and alluded to a possible account hack.
However, other instances have surfaced showing he had previously called her names on social media.
On Tuesday, Nuzzi tweeted that Krawitz was withdrawing from the township race and included an image of his handwritten letter of resignation.
