Nepal, Sep 04 (ANI): Women across Nepal, particularly from Madhes and Nepal-origin, cherished the festivities as they fasted on the occasion of Teej today. The festival holds religious and social significance for the married women who fast for 36 hour for the long life of their husbands. Dressed up in their best attires, women were seen singing and dancing while enjoying the festivities. Women worship goddess Teej on the auspicious occasion for their blissful married life. For unmarried women, it is believed that the worship would result into attainment of a blissful married life.
