How To Create A Minecraft Server Using Amazon EC2

2016-09-02 1

Today, I show how you can run your very own global vanilla Minecraft server using Amazon EC2. I show you the process of selecting an EC2 tier, setting up the virtual server, connecting using SSH (on Linux), as well as downloading and setting up the Minecraft server.

Please Note:
If you are using a Windows computer to connect to your instance, please check out this guide regarding how to connect using PUTTY on Windows: https://linuxacademy.com/blog/linux/connect-to-amazon-ec2-using-putty-private-key-on-windows/

Also, if you are using the AWS Free Tier, make sure you stick to t2.micro instances!
