"The important achievements for women, Black and LGBT communities will be compromised by their submission to ultra-conservative principles. Our homeland is in question with the resources and results of Pre-Salt, the natural resources and mineral riches will be highly threatened and in many cases privatized. The biggest threat of this unjust impeachment is to freeze for 20 years the funds for health, education, sanitation, and housing and to block children and youth for 20 years from having access to schools, for 20 years, to block people from having better health care, for 20 years, keeping the families from dreaming of their own home," Dilma Rousseff said, during her defense in the Senate impeachment trial against her on Monday, August 29.
